Coventry City striker Leon Best has said that he is happy to stay at the Sky Blues despite his contract talks coming to a standstill.

The Republic Of Ireland international is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with Wolves and Birmingham already after City turned down a bid from Nottingham Forest last season, something which Best said to the CT was "That's just a lot of talk and I haven't heard anything of it."

Regarding the talks with the Sky Blues, Best said to the CT: "It is at a standstill at the minute and with my injury I have just been concentrating on getting fit again but I will be talking to my agent, the gaffer and the chairman to get things back on the move again now I am back playing.

He was asked if he was happy to stay at Coventry and Best replied: "Yes definitely. I am happy here. I am not too far from home and I am enjoying playing here at the minute, so there is no reason.

"I haven't really been thinking about my contract situation. I have just been concentrating on playing well and scoring goals.

"I try not to get too involved because that's when it starts stressing you and thinking too much into things."
