Ill Dann Misses Friendly

Coventry City defender Scott Dann looks to be out of City's FA Cup tie at Blackburn on Saturday after missing a reserve team friendly yesterday due to illness.

The centre half has been out of action since injuring his shoulder in the defeat at Reading and was due to play in a friendly yesterday against an Aston Villa X1 which City lost 3-1 with Leon Best scoring the City goal.

However, the captain phoned in sick and missed the game leaving manager Chris Coleman to say to the CT: "It is disappointing that he couldn't play because I don't want to put him back into the first-team fold until he has had 90 minutes in the reserves.

"We had organised a training game against Aston Villa specifically for Scotty Dann but he was ill, but apart from that we have got virtually everyone fit.

"We have got one or two little knocks but compared to a month or six weeks ago it is quite good."

Stephen Wright is suspended for the game but Aron Gunnarsson is available and Robbie Simpson who has been out with a dead leg is hoping to be fit.
