Coventry Sphinx Boss Luke Hopkins has said that if Sphinx keep playing the way they played against Gornal Athletic on Saturday, then they will put a run of results together.

Speaking to the Sphinx website after the 3-1 defeat, Hopkins said; "As my Assistant Lynton Wilkinson said we came here a few weeks ago and didn't compete and were lucky not to be on a double figure defeat.

"Today we take plenty of positives. We played for the full ninety minutes we competed, we showed desire and above all, played for the shirt.

"If we keep progressing we will soon be putting a winning run together we are in a sense going through a pre season period as we try and gel a side to compete week in week out in the Midland Alliance.

"We are still looking to bring in two or three players. Ryan O'Toole has joined from Alvis to bolster the midfield and we have Kyle Rhodes, Dion Barrett, Kiam Gladins, Matt Stone, Robbie Stevenson and Iyseden Christie to come back into the squad ready for next week's FA Vase game at home to Bilston Town."
