If 11,000 People Say City Should Stay Then People Should Listen

Around 12,000 City supporters have now signed a petition aimed at keeping Coventry City playing in Coventry.

The numbers were swelled by a Coventry Telegraph 'City Must Stay' roadshow on Saturday at the Arena Park Shopping Centre.

One long time City supporter Mike Smith told the Coventry Telegraph's Martin Bagot: "It won't be Coventry City anymore if we move away.

"If they build it outside the boundary it still won't be Coventry City. At the end of the day it will be the fans who lose out. I for one won't travel to a supposed home game somewhere else.

"They are all arguing and posturing but if 11,000 fans say they don't want to leave Coventry then people should listen."
