Gael Bigirimana has said that he would like the £1m Coventry City received from Newcastle United following his transfer re-invested in the Academy.

Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, the midfielder said; "I hope the club re-invest the money, especially in the Academy which helped me get to where I am today.

"I'd like to thank everyone at the Academy. Greg Rioch and Rich Stevens really helped me and Steve Ogrizovic before that because he was in charge when I signed for the club."

City's MD Tim Fisher has said that the money will be re-invested across the club and that the Academy was included.
