Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has been full of praise for his players.

Saturday's 2-0 win over Derby County lifted the Sky Blues to 19th in the Championship table at the completion of the weekend's matches and speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Thorn was pleased with his players.

“We are just starting to get going now and I’m really pleased,” said Thorn whose side travel to Ipswich Town in a week's time for the game live on Sky.

“I didn’t want not winning to become a stigma. They are a great bunch of players and we have got great belief in them and I wouldn’t swap them for anyone.

“I have just kept telling them to keep doing what they have been doing and it will come. If we weren’t playing well and not picking points up I’d be worried. But we have been playing well and it is just a matter of time.

“I said for a while now that I think that has been coming and that I didn’t think that our points tally added up to our performances. But it was important it didn’t become a nervy thing about winning.

“I thought we ran the game down well, our possession was good and we were direct and played the ball forward. We had efforts on goal against a very good team that are very well managed and organised.

“I just felt last week in training that we had just started to come back on the bridle. There was a buzz around and we were just getting into our rhythm which is good, and I was really pleased with the performance."
