Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that he would have backed Stephen Elliott to score when he had a great chance with two minutes of the 1-1 draw against Preston North End remaining.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player's Nick Connoll, the City boss said; "He was really unlucky today because he had a real good chance to win the game for us and I'd have backed him to do it but I think the 'keeper's put him off a bit.
"I feel a bit sorry for him actually because it's his old club and it would've been a day to remember for him."
