Joe Cole has said that he wants to play for a team that plays the game the right way.

Speaking at this lunch-time's press conference, Cole who is at City on a a 35 day loan which started today, said to the Coventry Telegraph: "The last few years I've had a terrible time with injuries. I have got myself fit but not getting in the team at Villa so was looking to get on loan to play and I wanted to play at a team that play the right way, pass it and pop it about.

"I met Tony Mowbray and he really impressed me and I watched them play and it just seems right.

"It's about playing football because I want to play football with people trying to kick me. It doesn't matter what your name is, I just want the buzz of playing again.

"It's been a whirlwind because me and my wife had our third child (little boy) yesterday.

"I don't think I've played at Rochdale before but I just want to be in a dressing room preparing for a match on Tuesday night. Looking forward to a proper game with people wanting to kick me!

"With 21s football it doesn't really prepare you. I just want to get out there and play.

"I am not looking beyond Tuesday night. The first couple of games will shake the cobwebs off and I'm sure my last two games will be stronger than my first two but hope my experience can help the boys here.

"I want to play football regardless to the level, play for the right team and the right way.

"It's going to be tough because I've not played for a while."
