I Want More First Team Action - Cameron

Last updated : 11 March 2012 By Covsupport News Service

Coventry City defender Nathan Cameron has said he wants to continue playing first team football.

The Covsupport News Service Young Player Of The Year last season put in a solid performance in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Birmingham City after coming back to the first team action on Tuesday night against Crystal Palace.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Cameron said: "I feel like I am getting back to my best as against Palace in the week, I was a bit rusty and obviously I gave away the penalty which was disappointing.

"I want to keep going with my comeback and improve as I think I did well today. Birmingham are a good side and have one of the best forward lines in the division so if I could do that against this side, it sets me up well for the rest of the season.

"If I can keep my place in the side, as there is plenty of competition, I think I can build on my performances further and hopefully keep the club up.

"I just want to keep working hard in training so the gaffer will keep picking me in the side."
