Coventry City midfielder Carl Baker has said that he hopes that Andy Thorn stays in management.

Speaking to the CT, Baker said: “I would love to see Andy stay in management because I know him personally and how much he wanted to win every week. There was no-one more disappointed than him when we were losing and no-one happier when we were winning.

“At training her was well into it and so passionate, which is something the fans maybe didn’t see. He loved the club and gave it absolutely everything he had got.

“Whether he hasn’t had the backing or what I don’t know, but I hope he does go back into management because he is a good manager to play for and I have got a lot of time for him.

“He’s a real character and good man manager. You can have a laugh with him, which I think you need sometimes when you come into work, but he can also be serious and tell you off.

“And he was very professional and so passionate about the job.”
