I Had A Job To Do - Westwood

Coventry City keeper Keiren Westwood attended his Nana's funeral in Manchester and drove to Bristol before making some excellent saves for City on Tuesday night.

"It was an emotional night for me and an emotional week but you have got to try to hold it together and do the best you can," said Westwood to the CT.

"I was knackered because I had been at my Nana's funeral in the morning in Manchester, so I had to drive from there straight to Bristol, so it was a long day.

"I had got a job to do and that's why I came back down to Bristol, because I wanted to play for the club. "I thought we might get at least a point but it wasn't to be.

"I was pleased with my performance on a personal level but it is all about the team.

"They bombarded us quite a lot in the first half and I was there when needed, so I was quite happy with that, but they scored a 'worldy', right in the top corner from 25-odd yards.

"And the second one was a breakaway from our own set-piece, which happened to us against Chelsea on Saturday, so we keep giving teams goals, which is not ideal.

"We are showing plenty of heart and endeavour but sometimes that's not enough.

"I don't know if we were still hungover from the Chelsea game - certainly I wasn't personally."
