I Don't Want To Stay On The Bench - Diimi

Coventry City keeper Dimi Konstantopolous has said that he does not want to sit on the bench whilst at Coventry City.

The keeper would like a return to Hartlepool or another loan but the change in City's financial situation since April and the illness to Danny Ireland has meant that he has not been loaned out and is expected to face his former club tomorrow night at the Ricoh Arena.

"I still want to play games like everyone else and I knew if I went back to Hartlepool, I would be playing games," said Dimi to the Peterlee Mail.

"I had four good seasons there and I would have liked to go back. Westy did well last season and it was obviously the manager's choice to bring him in.

"I knew it was going to be him starting the season. That was why I was looking to maybe go somewhere else.

"That is still a possibility because I can't really afford to stay on the bench for a whole season. But football is strange sometimes, you don't know how things are going to go."
