I Don't Want To Be A Number Two - Charles-Cook

Last updated : 31 July 2015 By CNS Staff

Reice Charles-Cook has said that he does not want to be Coventry City's number two keeper.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Charles-Cook said: “I’m not here to just be a No.2. Some goalkeepers accept that but I’m not and I want to push Lee as much as I can to better himself and myself.

“It was difficult last year and I went out to Nuneaton on loan but this year I came in for the summer and told the gaffer I want to play and that I am ready if Burgey ever gets injured.

“We all know how good a goalkeeper Lee is and hopefully the competition is there. We both want to be No.1 here and we push each other all the time.

“Hopefully I have shown the gaffer and the fans that in the games I’ve played.”
