Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that he can't wait for the season to end and for a chance to rebuild the squad.

Speaking after the 3-2 home defeat by Watford on Saturday, Colemansaid to the CT: "I am banging my head against the wall again, saying the same things and we can't keep saying them because you either learn or you don't.

"We are either good enough or we are not, but we are not. We are where we are. Last year we just stayed up and this year we are 17th and the league doesn't lie.

"That's how good a manager I am and that's how good my players are so I can't wait for the summer to be honest. I can't wait to reinvest in the squad and take alook at everything.

"Our targets and the investment we are looking at will be the same but looking at the players I have got now, you don't collapse like that and in the fashion in which we did it.

"I wish that had been the last game of the season, that's all I can say. I have not enjoyed one minute of the last six to eight games, the supporters haven't enjoyed it and the players haven't enjoyed it and rightly so because we have served up a lot better performances going back to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

"I either have to change certain things i.e. players or the players change me because that is how football goes. Thnakfully, I am going to have the chance in the summer to spruce it up again by bringing in some more players because we are not good enough.

"The signs are there for me as a manager to say, hold on a minute, we have got to pinpoint the problem and remove it and make sure when we add we get good quality.

"There is a lot of work to be done in the summer and maybe this is a good thing because sometimes you can paper over the cracks. If we had finished in the top ten we could have thought we are nearly there for the big push.

"This way, the wheels have come off and we know we have got to get together and some big decisions have to be made if we are going to go forwards.
