Don Hutchison has made a comeback in a specially organised Blues V Reds practice game at Ryton this afternoon. Iain Dowie picked two sides for the game which saw the Blues win 3-2.

Andy Gooding,Don Hutchison and Michael Doyle netted for the Blues with Chris Birchall and Kevin Thornton scoring for the Reds.

Hutchison played for an hour and told Sky Blues World: "I always set myself targets that I believe I can reach."After playing 60 minutes today hopefully I can keep working hard in training and persuade the gaffer to give me a chance before the end of the season.

"It's always difficult when you get a bad injury, but it's worse still when a new manager comes in and you want to try and impress to earn a contract for next season."But Iain (Dowie) knows what my qualities are as a player and hopefully I can be a part of his plans for next year."
