It is understood that Coventry City have received enquiries asking about the possible availability of versatile defender Chris Hussey.

The 23 year old attacking full-back has a year left on his Coventry City contract and in a similar scenario to Richard Keogh, he could leave on a free transfer next year so the club may opt to cash in on the player who cost around £100,000 from AFC Wimbledon two years ago.

The three clubs, all thought to be in London and in the Championship have all shown interest in Hussey.

Hussey (pictured above), unlike Keogh, has played a significant part in Any Thorn's pre-season preparations and has played in all four of the friendly games so far, but with the arrival of William Edjenguele who can play in the same positions as Hussey, Thorn has a ready made replacement.

Another new recruit to the Sky Blues, Kevin Kilbane is also a left back has replaced Hussey in the 3-1 defeat at Inverness last Saturday. Coventry may opt to cash in on Hussey, to free up funds for Thorn to use to strengthen elsewhere.

Another player who could generate funds is Richard Wood. He is the highest earner at the club and would also command a transfer fee as he also has a year left on his contract. His former club Sheffield Wednesday are keen to take the central defender back.
