Chris Hussey has re-joined AFC Wimbledon.

Hussey joined Coventry City from AFC Wimbledon in October 2009 and made 65 appearances for the Sky Blues.

Yesterday, his contract with Coventry City was cancelled by mutual consent and he has re-joined the Kingston on Thames based club.

Speaking to the AFC Wimbledon website, Hussey, who deleted his Facebook account, said: “I could not wait to come home. I could have gone to a higher level club and stayed in League 1, but I wanted to come back to Wimbledon. Last season I played a lot of games at Coventry and after my experiences there I come back as a better player.

"I am a professional though and I want to play games. I enjoyed my time at Wimbledon last time and it is big club with great fans. I want to help get this club back where it belongs as it should not be near the bottom of League 2.”
