The midfielder has missed City's last two games after having the captain's armband removed has been linked with moves to Southampton and Leeds.
Said the City boss to the CT: "Stephen Hughes has obviously a future at Coventry City because he has got a a contract and I have told him that I will use him when I see that he is ready for it again. That's up to Stephen Hughes and the ball is in his court."
