How Divided Are We?

YOUR VIEWS

Is there any other club in the world whose supporters are so divided as those who support Coventry City?

For example, we have:

Those who go to all the games at The Ricoh and all the away games and will buy merchandise etc

Those who go to all the games at The Ricoh and all the away games but only spend their money on match tickets and nothing else.

Those who go to all the games at The Ricoh and some away games.

Those who go to some games at The Ricoh and all the away games

Those who have been to a game at The Ricoh and some of the away games.

Those who just go to games at The Ricoh.

Those who just go to away games and go in the home ends, so as not to give CCFC any money.

Those who just go to away games and go in the away ends.

Those who struggle to get to the Ricoh on a regular basis but do some of the away games.

Those who cannot afford games at the Ricoh Arena unless they are cheaper cup games.

Those who cannot afford games at the Ricoh Arena full stop.

Those who refuse to pay the prices CCFC are demanding for League Two football.

Those who only go to away games nearest to their location.

Those who only go to away games to get in a new ground.

Those who only turn out for big matches.

Those who don’t want to see CCFC playing League 2 football.

Those who will not go to a game until SISU are out of the club

Those who will not go to a game until Tim Fisher and David Boddy are out of the club.

Those who will not go to a game until Wasps stop owning the Ricoh.

Those who only watch the U18’s/U23’s.

Those who live too far away but follow the club as best they can by whatever means possible.

Those who won’t go to games but follow the club by social media or via non CCFC media, so CCFC don’t get any money from them.

Those who work on match days but would love to go.

Those who work on match days and are happy they don't go.

Those who want CCFC to win but their interest is only checking the result.

Those who would not go to a match if City played in their back garden but still think they are entitled to an opinion.

And unless something major happens, I cannot see that changing. Sad really.

CNS SPORT COMMENT

We have run this email sent to us as it is thought provoking. However, in our opinion, supporting Coventry City in whatever way we do is purely down to circumstances and preferences.

The way people support the Sky Blues is not unusual amongst clubs up and down the land and there is no right or wrong way of supporting the team in whatever way we are able to do so.

Granted a change in ownership of the Sky Blues may result in more of us attending matches or supporting the club by buying merchandise etc but the way Coventry City supporters have stuck with the team and followed them as their circumstances and finances permit and in whatever way they are able to do so, over what have been very lean years, is nothing short of marvelous.
