Coventry City CEO Graham Hover has been suspended by the club. The club have said that Mr Hover has been given 'leave of absence until next Wednesday and the club has no further comment to make until then.
Hailing from Kent, he joined City in 1984 after a spell at Millwall as Company Secretary and held that role until he was appointed Chief Executive after Bryan Richardson was deposed as Chairman in January 2002.

Seen as the main string puller in the club, Hover is indeed a powerful man and has worked under the Chairmanship of Ian Jamieson,John Poynton, Peter Robbins,Bryan Richardson and now Mike McGinnity, knowing all the ins and outs of the club right down to the last detail.

Legal reasons prevented City Chairman Mike McGinnity from commenting and Mr McGinnity has taken over Mr Hover's duties for the next week and there is no news if this suspension will involve outside agencies such as the police or football authorities.

The news has seen rumours of an investor coming forward if Mr Hover were to leave the club.
