Plans to build a hotel on land currently taken up by Car Park C at the Arena have not gone down well with local residents.

The development will see parking spaces reduced in the car park which charges ten pounds per game reduced as a hotel which has increased from seven to nine storeys plus underground parking takes shape.

There are concerns from local residents that television reception in the area may be impaired by the hotel as well noise and enviromental concerns.

Formal plans have yet to be officially filed with Coventry City Council who part own the land with Arena Coventry Limited.

The only advice given to supporters affected by the loss of parking spaces from ACL's David McAtenemy is to use the 101 bus service from Pool Meadow bus station.
