Hopefully Simpson Won't Be A Homer

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City’s League One game at Notts County is Jeremy Simpson.

In his third season on the Football League list, Mr Simpson has only been in charge of four Coventry City games before.

The last was the 2-2 draw at Leyton Orient on November 1st 2014. The others were e the 0-0 draw at Oldham Athletic on Monday April 21st, 2014, the 3-1 win at MK Dons on November 30th 2013 and the game at the Ricoh Arena against Scunthorpe which City lost 2-1 in November 2012.

This season, he has had 28 games (eleven of which have been League One matches) and shown 100 yellows and nine red cards.

His assistants are Declan Ford and Paul Thompson. The Fourth Official is Stuart Eagland.
