Gary Hoffman has confirmed to the Coventry Telegraph that Dale Evans is now part of his consortium wishing to take over Coventry City FC.

Dale Evans spoke to Gary Hoffman after going on BBC CWR last weekend after being given his number and after providing financial proof and chats with other, he was invited to join the consortium which has already had a number of bids rejected.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Gary Hoffman, who was amongst the City support at Accrington Stanley and will be tomorrow at Luton Town, said: "Dale is a Sky Blues fan. I was horrified to find out I was at school with his dad!

"He has put his chin out there and people have taken cheap shots. He may not have gone about it in the way I would have done, or that others would, but don’t question he is a true Sky Blue.

"I have spoken to him several times. As with all of us in the consortium, we need to provide proof of funds.

"I won’t reveal what I have seen but it is enough to suggest he is serious. We welcome him into the consortium.

"At the moment we can’t buy a goal let alone a football club. I hope we can reengage with Sisu shortly, but we won’t talk about the terms publicly.

"The consortium is rock solid.

"We were waiting for the legal action to conclude, but that doesn’t seem likely anytime soon.

"I am not here to have a go at or annoy Sisu, it would be much better to do things quietly, so I won’t say much.

"But there has been a lot of noise the last few days which has been unhealthy.

"We are pleased to have the backing of the Sky Blue Trust, and we welcome the support of all Sky Blues fans, but know some will always be sceptical or critical."
