"I'm hoping something permanent can come from this and I'm looking for this move to put me in the shop window so I can earn a contract either at Coventry or somewhere else," said Hignett.
"I spoke to David Thompson before I came down here and he was very complimentary about the place.
"He enjoyed his time here and he told me it's a great place to play football because the team does like to knock it about and he said the lads are great."
