Blackpool have parted company with manager Colin Hendry. The Scot who was not a popular figure during his time at Highfield Road has according to BBC Lancashire been removed from his post but not sacked by the Seasiders.

Blackpool said on their offical website "In line with their request. Messrs Hendry and Miller (Ian Miller assistant manager) are set to attend a meeting at the end of next week."

Lee Fowler has joined Scarborough FC on a months loan. The midfielder was at Huddersfield Town after being released by the Sky Blues. Scarborough boss Neil Redfearn said: "He has played at a higher level but he needs to start to play some games again so he is ideal for us."

Avun Jephcott will be given another chance to impress Ards boss Geordie Boyle when he turns out for Ards at home to Ballymena on Saturday.

The striker who played for City Reserves and Nuneaton Borough had been signed by Solihull Borough on a pay as you play contract and turned out for the Northern Irish Premier Division outfit in their 3-2 defeat at Portadown last Saturday.

Tom Bates could also get a run-out, the midfielder who was last reported playing for Coventry Sunday League side Keresley-Jaguar missed Ards game last week due to illness but has been given another chance to showcase his talents.
