The 18 year midfielder from Sunderland has played 44 minutes of Premier League football for the Makems in a 5-0 defeat at Chelsea and started in a League Cup tie in which he played for eighty minutes.
City boss Chris Coleman is also hopeful of signing a player on a permanent deal before the end of the week.
