30 years on and we’re back at Wembley!
It may only be the Checkatrade Trophy, but it’s a massive occasion for over 43,000 Coventry City fans who have bought tickets, intent on enjoying the moment. Not least because many of us feel that it could be the last time for many years that such a number of us will be gathered together to get behind the Sky Blues.
City fan and artist Duncan Whitley is asking fans who are there on the day to send him their mobile phone footage for a community-driven audiovisual document commemorating the day. He’s asking fans who want to participate in the project to upload their video clips from the day to YouTube, and to share the link via email.
A few basic tips on shooting video on your mobile phone:
1. Remember to shoot your videos in landscape, that is with your phone on it’s side rather than upright.
2. Try to hold the camera as steady as you can, two hands is better than one!
3. Adjust your phone’s camera settings to record in HD if you have that option. 1920 x 1080 pixels is great, 1280 x 720 is pretty good too.

You can share your video link with Duncan by sending him a private email to duncan@duncanwhiteley.net with “WEMBLEY COMMUNITY VIDEO” as the subject line. All contributors to the work will be credited for their efforts.
Duncan's latest film "Things Fall Apart" was premiered earlier this month at the Whitechapel Gallery in London. It features the protests of Coventry City Supporters, particularly during the infamous Sixfields period and the effect that the troubles of the Club have had on the community.
Plans are being made for a screening in Coventry this summer, possibly with some of the footage from Wembley.
