Ulises De La Cruz might find himself thousands of miles from his home in Ecuador if he signs for Coventry City but he remembers his home village in his paypacket.

Seen as something of a legend in Ecuador, De La Cruz has set up a foundation to help his village of Piquiucho and send home money from his wages to buy bookks for children,a water treatment system,a sports and community centre, sixty homes as well as pay for breakfast and lunch every day for Primary School pupils.

De La Cruz is a UNICEF Ambassador and is part of the FIFA/SOS Ambassadors programme.

The defender is currently in talks with Chris Coleman and Ray Ranson and could be in the team to face Preston North End on Saturday.
