Ryan Haynes has said that goalscoring has taken him by surprise.

Haynes has scored four goals this season and told Laura Hunter: “Scoring has taken me by surprise, I usually aim for one goal a season. Obviously I’ve scored four already, I’ll keep focussing on improving myself and hopefully make a positive impression on the Gaffer.

“I welcome playing more often. “The manager has really stamped himself on the team, he hasn’t changed too much. He’s a really good guy, he knows what the team needs and what will progress the club.

“I’ve been playing for Coventry since I was a young boy and it means a lot to be wearing the shirt and having an affect on the team. I’m proud to wear the badge on the chest for the club I’ve grown up with.”
