Former City Reserve teamer Avun Jephcott scored a hat-trick tonight for Leamington FC in a 3-1 Midland Football Alliance League Cup Semi-Final 1st Leg victory over Atherstone Town.

In the Championship tonight, Saturday's opponents Queens Park Rangers beat Preston 1-0 at Loftus Road thanks to a 51st minute goal from Dexter Blackstock. In the other game,Burnley beat Plymouth 4-0 with City target Michael Duff on the scoresheet.

Rugby Town won 2-1 at Hitchin Town whilst Racing Club Warwick remain in trouble after a 2-0 defeat at Barwell.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division match,Massey Ferguson drew 0-0 at home to Castle Vale. Coventry Sphinx Reserves lost 2-1 at home to Coton Green.
