Cian Harries has said that he is dying to breaking into Coventry City's first team.
The Wales U19's defender, who was watched by a number of teams last season including some from the Premier League, told the Coventry Observer's Steve Carpenter: “I’m dieing to break into the first team.
“There are a few centre-backs at the club but I’m hoping to push my luck in that position.
“I’m looking to play as soon as I can. The gaffer knows when the time is right. He’d have seen hundreds and hundreds of players come through in the same sort of situation so he knows what’s right and what’s wrong and will know when I’m ready.
“All I can do is my level best and hopefully I’ll get a chance in the pre-season games, impress in them and then who knows what could happen.
“Even if it’s not the first game of the season – it could be the fourth or fifth game in. The Johnstone Paint Trophy is a great way to give young players a chance so hopefully I might get selected for that.”
