The midfielder who missed City's game against Portsmouth on Saturday has been named in the Iceland team for the game which kicks off at 7.30pm.
Gunnarsson will get his 18th cap for his country in a team which also features Bolton's Grétar Rafn Steinsson and QPR's Heidar Helguson.
