The Icelandic midfielder is keen on staying at Highfield Road when his loan deal expires at the end of the season.

“When I came here it was because I was not happy with not playing,” said the player who is on loan from Bundesliga side Bochum," he told the Coventry Evening Telegraph.

“I don’t like sitting somewhere on the bench so I hope I can stay here. But obviously that depends on how I play and if Coventry want to keep me.

“I don’t feel I am on trial because I would always do my best anyway, even if I thought I was going back, but I hope there is a chance for me here.

“If I keep doing well hope-fully Eric Black will signing me permanently. But I haven’t ruled out going back to Germany because you never know what is round the corner."
