Great To Be Back Out There - Delfounseo

Nathan Delfounseo has admitted that it is good to be back playing football.

The striker who joined Coventry City on loan from Aston Villa last week, played his first full ninety minutes against Bristol City on Tuesday night.

“My legs are killing me,” said Delfounseo to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner.

“But it was great to get back out there again in what was my first 90 minutes since August, so I am sure I will feel it in the next few days.

“The last time I played was New Year’s Day when I played for half an hour or so. Although I feel fit it’s going to take a few weeks to get my match fitness.

"There’s no replacement for games and hopefully I will get it back quickly and be firing on all cylinders.

“I just want to get some goals and get my career back on track. To be honest I really want to start enjoying football again.

"It’s been difficult for me in recent times so it would be nice to get some goals to help Coventry, but really important to enjoy it and start moving my career forward again.”
