Julian Gray has told Fulham's official website that he wants to stay at Craven Cottage after his loan spell ends when the season closes in May.

Gray had a difficult time last season at Coventry City but played well in pre-season and started matches this season early on. It was after the Bristol City defeat which saw him surprisingly and quickly loaned out to Chris Coleman's former club.

"Hopefully my loan deal will be made permanent in the summer," Gray said.

"We'll see what the future brings, but ideally I would like to be a Fulham player next season, because as I've said I'm enjoying my time here.

"Everyone has made me feel really welcome, and I get on with all the players, the manager and the staff.

Gray about to score for City in a pre-season friendly.

"It's a good club to be part of and having settled I've now got to just concentrate on what I can bring to the team."

Gray has yet to appear for Fulham's first team and added: "To be honest it's down to the manager and not me. "It is a busy time, where a lot of games will be played so you never know. "I'll just have to wait and see. I know that I have to wait my turn and when I do get a chance all I can do is make sure that I'm ready to take it."
