Coventry City manager Bobby Gould has admitted to be being sad at the situations that Coventry City and AFC Wimbledon find themselves in.

Both clubs are now long removed from the teams that won the FA Cup and Gould, who will be at Friday night's FA Cup First Round tie at Kingsmeadow, told Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph: “It’s so sad that both clubs are in the situation they are. That’s the first thing that comes to my mind.

“I’ve got such an affinity to each club because of the love and the passion and commitment we had. And we were in the first division and Premier League back then, so to see them evaporate in the way they have is sad.

"I’ve got to say that – to see Coventry play in front of 2,600 at Sixfields.”
