Former Coventry City player and twice manager Bobby Gould has called for City's owners SISU to negotiate a deal that will keep Coventry City playing at the Ricoh Arena.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Bobby Gould said; “My message to Sisu is to get round the table and negotiate a rent deal.

“Go to the council and explain the situation. Has the £60million gone on wages, transfer fees or paying for the Ricoh, please tell us.

"When football clubs first started they were there for the good of the community and the towns and cities but we just don’t know what’s going on.

“I’ve signed the City Must Stay petition and I would urge not just fans, but the good people of my home city to get behind this campaign to keep the club where it belongs.

“If we have got strength in numbers we can put pressure on all parties to get together and also demand a public meeting to explain everything to the loyal supporters.”
