Coventry City won their one game in Spain with a 3-1 win over Everton U23's.
The Sky Blues second pre-season game was a trip to La Manga to take on Everton U23's.
City and some supporters had left on a 10.30am Jet2 flight from Birmingham to Alicante on the Sunday morning and whilst the team trained, the City supporters got in some quality beach time.
That was curtailed this morning as City supporters set off early for the trip to La Manga rather than the San Pedro Del Pinatar Arena which is par for the course for a Coventry City pre-season.
City had the first corner of the game in the opening seconds and should have scored in the fourth §minute when Ponticelli} aced through and struck the keeper's left hand post.
In the 12th minutea, Westbrooke forced a corner and then took it and in ran Tom Davies to head home.
Then in the 17th minute it was two when Jordan Ponticelli got down the right and crossed for Jonson Clarke-Harris to head powerfully into the net on the keeper's left to delight the sixty or so City supporters.
Clarke-Harris and Hickman had shots beaten away by the Everton keeper
Hickman and Brown put some good balls in before Westbrooke over-hit a corner which was followed by another two minutes later.
Brown won the first of two corners before the half ended and City changed their side with Westbrooke, Jordan Thompson and Maycock staying on.
The wind was keeping the temperatures down, making it pleasant for the 100 or so City supporters who saw Everton pull a goal back in the 51st minute when their number sixteen was allowed to run on and score.
In the 62nd minute. Jordan Shipley had a drive from twenty yards saved low by the keeper in lime who could nothing but pick the bank out of the net in the 64th minute when a Tony Andreu free kick went off the right hand post and over the left before nestling near the left for City's third goal.
Hickman and Ponticelli came back on in the 69th minute
Everton had a 76th minute corner before a little skirmish took place which City supporters on the lush grass pitch trying to see who was doing the pushing and shoving.
In a game where Mark Robins tried a few things out, City were the better side throughout and deserved their win.
