Highly popular former Sky Blue Terry Yorath is seriously ill in hospital. The midfielder who is on the coaching staff at Huddersfield Town is being treated for inflammation of the pancreas. It is believed alcohol abuse caused the problem.

The former Wales and Lebanon national team manager, who told City supporters during the Copa De Ibiza game between City and Huddersfield last season that he still knows all the words to the Sky Blue Song ,has always denied that he has a drink problem.

Meanwhile, Gillingham are reported to have signed Bas Savage. The striker who turned out for City Reserves in a couple of games last season had been at Bristol City after leaving City without a paid contract but was released by the Ashton Gate based club at the end of last season.
