George Thomas Wins Christy Heffernan Memorial Trophy

George Thomas has become the latest winner of the Christy Heffernan Memorial Trophy.

The trophy is traditionally awarded to a young Coventry City player aged under 21 at the start of the season and was first presented in 1998 in memory of the secretary and founding father of the Coventry City Supporters Club Irish Branch.

Gary McSheffrey, Chris Kirkland, Jay Bothroyd, Craig Pead, Isaac Osbourne, Craig Reid, Aron Gunnarsson, Ryan Haynes, Cian Harries and Adam Armstrong, are just some who have received the award.

Kevin Heffernan presented this year's award to George Thomas.
