George Thomas Loaned To Scunthorpe

Former Coventry City youngster George Thomas has joined Scunthorpe United on loan.

Thomas came through City's Academy and U23's to make 53 first team appearances, scoring ten goals including one which helped the Sky Blues win the Checkatrade Trophy at Wembley in April 2017.

The Wales U21 international left his contract at City expire and joined Leicester City, where he spent most of last season in their U23's although he did play against Scunthorpe in the Checkatrade Trophy and scored.

Thomas has been loaned to Scunthorpe for the rest of the season and could feature against the Sky Blues at the Ricoh Arena tomorrow.

Former Coventry City striker Marc-Antoine Fortune has signed for National League side Chesterfield.

The Frenchman made 24 appearances for City in 2015/2016 having been signed by Tony Mowbray and last season was at Southend United

Fortune has joined Chesrerfield on a one-year deal.
