George Thomas Goal Earns Leicester U23's A Draw

Former Coventry City youngster George Thomas scored for Leicester City U23's tonight.

Thomas, wearing the number seven shirt, played for Leicester in their game at Manchester City and after  Lorenzo Gonzalez had put Man City, playing at the Ethiad Stadium, ahead in the tenth minute, Laylon Ndukwu equalising with a 25th minute penalty and a 50th minute goal from Ben Garre, the Wales U20's international earned Leicester U23's a 2-2 draw with a goal in the 83rd minute which squeezed past Arijanet Muric.

There was more good news for Thomas as he was called up to the Wales U21 squad for the games against Switzerland and Portugal.

Meanwhile, former Coventry City defender Danny Pugh, could be out for at least three months with an injury. Pugh is currently at Port Vale after moving from Bury.

Former City loanee Jordan Henderson and former City youngster Danny Sturridge are in England's squad for the up coming World Cup qualifiers.
