George Hudson Amongst Those Attending Legends Day

Last updated : 13 February 2018 By CCFPA

Preparations are being finalised now for Legends Day 2018 which takes place in less than three weeks’ time at the Sky Blues next Saturday home game against Lincoln City in early March.

The Coventry City Former Players Association have already got approaching 40 former Coventry City stars of the past to confirm their attendance and more arriving everyday! Together with our members Steve Ogrizovic and Michael Doyle who will both likely be busy for CCFC on the pitch or pitchside that day we hope to bust the half century target of FP attendees –  a record!! So why not book your place to join our former players and make a nice present for yourself or your Sky Blue loved ones!

Remember, we shall also be using the occasion to remember and pay tribute to our member, footballing icon and Sky Blue true legend Cyrille Regis whose untimely death happened all too recently and we are expecting quite a number of Cyrille’s former Sky Blues colleagues to be in attendance.

So far we are expecting at least the following FP members to be all present and correct for the traditional centre circle team photo:-

Coventry City are offering three-course hospitality and the opportunity to mix with CCFPA members within the stadium, at lunch and watch them on their traditional half-time pitch parade when the Sky Blues face the Lincoln City Imps on Saturday 3rd March 2018 at the Ricoh.

CCFC Commercial Manager Tynan Scope says: “Legends Day is one of the stand-out events of the year. It has always been a popular event in hospitality, and I’m sure memories of previous years are still fresh for us all.

We are delighted to welcome back and show our appreciation for all of our former players and have always enjoyed close working ties with the CCFPA, both for this day and throughout the year.”
