Former Coventry City Chairman Geoffrey Robinson could be liable for £250,000 for Coventry City's owners SISU not pay the rent on the Ricoh Arena.

The MP acted as a guarantor for the rent money being paid and Mr Robinson and one other un-named person could be liable for £250k each.

Jacky Isaac, ACL interim chief executive told the Coventry Telegraph: “It is our current understanding, based on legal advice, that Geoffrey Robinson is still liable for his personal guarantee on the rent.

“The ACL Board has not yet decided whether it will call in this personal guarantee, although it is important to make clear that the board is required to act in a way that is in the best interests of the company.’’
