Coventry City CEO Tim Fisher has said that Sandra Garlick will not be drawn in to the row about the Sky Blues wanting to own the Ricoh Arena.
Writing in his programme notes for today's game against Crewe, Mr Fisher said about Garlick who has been appointed Chair of the Stadium Consultation Group: "Sandra runs a very successful legal practice and will be diligent in bringing together all supporters' views when it comes to imprinting the club's "DNA", history and tradition on the new stadium.
"We should be very clear that Sandra is completely independent and has never been involved in any discussions about the Ricoh Arena.
"Our position with respect to the Ricoh Arena is equally, very clear, we have been happy to talk about stadium ownership simply because ownership is key to the long term future of the club.
"So, although Sandra will not be drawn into that conversation, it is important to continue gathering momentum with the new stadium initative because it is vital that we get back to the Coventry area.
"The technical requirements have been gathered, analysed and the subsequent briefing paper drafted. It is now vital that we lay the imprint of the club on top of the technical design. The new stadium will after all, be the club's long term home."
