Gaffer Denies Ward Interest

Micky Adams has denied any interest regarding defender Elliott Ward. There have been plenty of media reports linking the centre half with a move back to London but Adams told the club website: "We have had no enquiries whatsoever about Elliott Ward."

As mentioned earlier the manager is trying to sign keeper Luke Steele. Said Adams: "We're hopeful of signing Luke on a half season loan in the near future. We obviously know all about him and we would like to get it tied up as soon as possible. "If he does sign we will have permission to play him in the FA Cup."

If Steele is signed, Andy Marshall will have his knee op on Monday. "We have got Andy booked in for Monday and we hope the operation will be successful."
