The Football supporters Federation have called for talks with the FA to ensure that the situation over stolen tickets for today's Liverpool versus West Ham United FA Cup Final never occurs again. The FSF has also congratulated Liverpool FC on ensuring that those whose tickets have been stolen will see the game, albeit at the expense of other Liverpool fans who would have had a chance of these tickets.

FSF Chair Malcolm Clarke said, “We understand some of the practical difficulties in issuing duplicates but have to say that if the Millennium Stadium's barcode reader system worked properly, which it never has, this problem would have been easily solved. Congratulations to the Liverpool management for ensuring these supporters don't lose out through no fault of their own.

“Where barcode or other electronic entry systems function efficiently they act as a deterrent to stealing tickets and facilitate the easy issue of duplicates. We want to work with the FA to ensure there's a clear system and administrative procedures in place to stop this ever happening again.
“It is just not acceptable that supporters, some of whom will have waited all their lives to see their team in a Cup Final will be denied this opportunity through absolutely no fault of their own.”
