Fractured Toe Keeps Robbie Out

Former Coventry City forward Robbie Simpson was forced to miss Oldham Athletic's 3-2 win at Sheffield United on Saturday with a fractured toe.

Simpson had asked for a painkilling injection so he could play in the game but was refused one by the Latics medical staff and Oldham boss Paul Dickov in case it made matters worse.

Simpson is due to see a specialist this week and if the injury proves not too bad, could be back in a week's time to travel to Stevenage.
