Fox Staying Put

Coventry City defender Danny Fox has said that he wants to stay at the Sky Blues and expects to sign his contract extension in the close season.

"Hopefully something will get sorted at the end of the season and I will sign my new contract before I come back for the pre-season," said Fox to the CT.

"Me and Scott Dann have got another two years on our contracts and the club are not in a position where they have to offer us a new deal - but the gaffer obviously wants to reward us for what we have done, which is all credit to him and the chairman.

"It puts both the players and the club in a strong position. "They have got the bargaining power and we have got the security with another year or two on our contracts, so it is good to have.

"You never know what can happen because these things can take a long time, as they did with Jay Tabb's situation, but I am looking to get it sorted as soon as possible - as soon as the season is finished, to be honest - so I can put it to bed and then focus on the summer and getting fit for the pre-season."
