The Coventry City Former Player Association got off to a great start with its launch at the Ricoh Arena. Jim Brown who has worked with a number of other City supporters to bring about this Association and right some wrongs from previous regimes invited around forty former players to attend the Cardiff game and a VIP lunch before the match kicked off.

Many of the 17,107 crowd got there early to see players from the 1940's to 2000's eras including the likes of George Hudson, Chris Cattlin, Colin Stein,Paul Dyson, Cyrille Regis and Mo Konjic paraded into the centre of the pitch.

A silent auction held at the VIP luncheon before the game raised £600 for the Association who are planning a number of other events aimed at being affordable for the pockets of all supporters.
